On the evening of April 12, the Japan Festival combined with the Dandadan manga unboxing event was held at FAHASA Tan Dinh Bookstore, kicking off a celebration program running from April to August 2026 across the entire system.
In celebration of FAHASA’s 50th anniversary (1976–2026), the company launched this Japan Festival alongside the Dandadan manga unboxing event as the opening activity in its anniversary series. The program is designed based on the current needs of readers, reflecting FAHASA’s efforts to enhance customer experience and strengthen connections with its audience, especially younger readers.
Notably, through collaboration with strategic partners, FAHASA continues to expand its product portfolio and customer experience by introducing many globally renowned IPs such as Hello Kitty, Sanrio, Doraemon, Dan Da Dan, and Sonny Angel. Bringing these widely loved global IPs into the bookstore space not only enriches the shopping experience but also reflects FAHASA’s direction in keeping up with contemporary cultural and entertainment trends, gradually transforming the bookstore into a destination that aligns more closely with the preferences and interests of a new generation of customers.
A highlight of the program is the unboxing event of the blockbuster manga Dan Da Dan Volume 1, featuring popular TikToker Hill Manga, promising a lively, engaging, and interactive atmosphere for the manga-loving community. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to join mini-games and quizzes to receive Dan Da Dan posters from Kim Dong Publishing House, as well as enjoy vibrant Japanese music performances-contributing to a youthful, colorful festival atmosphere rich in Japanese cultural spirit right within the bookstore space.
On this occasion, FAHASA also introduces several other popular manga series such as Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Monster Deluxe, The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, One Piece, the Ghibli masterpiece Kiki’s Delivery Service, Song Menh Coi Hoang Tuyen – Volume 1 (new) with both standard and special editions including gifts, and Love Bullet – Volume 1 (new).
As part of the program, customers can shop for a wide range of attractive products with discounts of up to 50% across various categories, including manga, figures, stationery, and Japan-inspired merchandise. This is also one of the highlights that enhances the event’s appeal, while offering a more diverse and engaging shopping experience tailored to the needs and preferences of a broad customer base, especially today’s younger generation.
Beyond display and meet-and-greet activities, the program is designed as a continuous experience series for fans of Japanese culture, manga, card games, and model kits. Specifically, from 15:00 to 17:00, customers can join the launch event for the Pokemon TCG Mega Evolution Perfect & Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box and directly experience the Pokemon ME03 Card Game.
Continuing the program, from 17:00 to 19:00 there will be an Ensky model assembly workshop, followed by a Gunpla model-building workshop from 19:00 to 21:00. These activities are expected to further enhance the event’s appeal while increasing interaction and hands-on experiences for attendees.
In addition to product displays and showcases, the program also features a variety of interactive activities, performances, and on-site experiences at the bookstore, helping create a space that is more accessible and appealing to younger readers.
