From December 12 to January 4, Ho Chi Minh City Book Distribution Joint Stock Company (FAHASA), in cooperation with Penguin Random House, the world’s largest trade book publisher, will organize a book week themed “Read, Explore, and Grow to Find Your Story,” featuring a wide range of engaging activities.
On the morning of December 12 at Nguyen Hue Bookstore (Ho Chi Minh City), Fahasa and Penguin Random House officially launched the book week “Read, Explore, and Grow to Find Your Story,” introducing more than 3,500 book titles with a total of 42,000 copies.

The book week offers readers access to Penguin Random House’s extensive and diverse catalog across multiple genres, including children’s literature, fiction, self-help and skills development books, discovery and educational titles, classic literary works, and illustrated art books. All publications are displayed in a lively, well-organized manner.
These publications will be exhibited and distributed at Nguyen Hue Bookstore and other key Fahasa bookstores nationwide, as well as on Fahasa’s e-commerce platforms.

As part of the book week, on the morning of December 13, Fahasa will launch the “Christmas Celebration – Welcoming the New Year 2026” program, featuring a Countdown Festival and Lighting Ceremony. The event includes the lighting of a Christmas tree over five meters tall, decorated with thousands of LED lights, ornaments, and artificial snow. In addition, there will be Christmas song performances, a countdown ritual, artistic snowfall lighting effects, and experiential activities, including author meet-and-greets and book signings. Notably, author Doãn Hằng will participate with her work “Về nhà ăn bát cháo hành” (Returning Home to Eat a Bowl of Onion Porridge).
