A customer in Da Nang visited a bookstore and purchased nearly 300 books, with a total value of over 26 million VND.
According to representatives from Ho Chi Minh City Book Distribution Joint Stock Company (Fahasa), a customer visited the Fahasa Da Nang bookstore (Thanh Khe, Da Nang) and bought 285 book titles, totaling 26.157 million VND.

The order included many classic literary works such as Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Camellia Girl, Mother, The Call of the Wild, The Catcher in the Rye… as well as Vietnamese literature like Turn Off the Light, Old Man Hạc, I Am Beto… In addition, there were books on personal development and business/management such as How to Win Friends and Influence People, The 80/20 Principle, Work Hard Play Hard…
Although e-commerce has flourished, causing a significant portion of readers to shift to buying books online, some traditional bookstores still attract customers thanks to special monthly promotions and seasonal or festive decorations that draw visitors to browse and purchase books in person.
Moreover, many bookstores now incorporate photo check-in zones, children’s play areas, sculpture painting stations, and drawing corners, thereby attracting families with young children. Many middle-aged readers also prefer choosing books in-store so they can browse and read samples before buying.
Images of readers visiting the store and handpicking each book themselves are a great source of motivation for those working in publishing and for bookstore managers and staff.
