On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Hồ Chí Minh’s birth (1890–2025), Kim Đồng Publishing House, in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Book Distribution Corporation (FAHASA), organized a meet-and-greet event to introduce the special edition of “Búp Sen Xanh” – one of the best-selling classic literary works about the childhood of President Hồ Chí Minh.

The event took place on the morning of June 14, 2025, at FAHASA Tân Định Bookstore (387–389 Hai Bà Trưng Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), featuring guest speaker Mr. Bùi Văn Như, M.A., Ph.D. candidate – a lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and author of “Bác Hồ – A Role Model of Humility”, and hosted by writer and MC Phương Huyền. The session offered readers profound insights into President Hồ Chí Minh’s journey to greatness while highlighting the humanistic values embedded in Búp Sen Xanh.

“Búp Sen Xanh”, the renowned novel by author Sơn Tùng, vividly portrays the childhood of President Hồ Chí Minh – from his family and hometown to the social backdrop that shaped a great personality and a burning desire for national liberation. Author Sơn Tùng, a seriously wounded war veteran carrying 14 pieces of shrapnel in his body, poured his heart and soul into this work. He overcame illness to complete the novel after traveling across the country to collect materials from Hồ Chí Minh’s relatives and acquaintances.

This special edition of Búp Sen Xanh, exclusively distributed by FAHASA, features a premium hardcover, accompanied by an obi strip and a postcard illustrating President Hồ’s journey to seek a path for national salvation (1911–1941). It makes a meaningful gift for readers who cherish history, literature, and the legacy of President Hồ Chí Minh.

The talk show was not only an opportunity to explore a valuable literary masterpiece but also a chance for today’s young generation to better understand, appreciate, and take pride in President Hồ Chí Minh – the great leader of the Vietnamese people.
Let’s relive the most memorable moments of the event in the video below.
