Xuan Thu Bookstore, established in the 1950s, is considered one of the oldest bookstores in Ho Chi Minh City. After the Liberation of the South and the Reunification of the country, Xuan Thu became one of the first two professional bookstores in the city. While Nguyen Hue Bookstore specialized in domestic books, Xuan Thu gained its reputation for foreign language books.
The bookstore is organized into distinct thematic sections, including foreign books, general merchandise, children’s books, art supplies, and experience zones for children featuring activities such as plaster painting, slides, and seating areas for reading. Together, these elements create a unique space that blends nostalgia with modernity, meeting the diverse shopping and reading needs of today’s customers.
