To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City Book Distribution Corporation – FAHASA (1976–2026), and to continue bringing meaningful activities to the reading community, on June 13, 2026, FAHASA, in collaboration with Tre Publishing House, organized a meet-and-greet and book-signing event with author Nguyen Nhat Anh at FAHASA Tan Dinh Bookstore in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event provided an opportunity for a large number of readers, especially those who have followed Nguyen Nhat Anh’s works over the years, to meet and interact with the author in person and receive autographs from one of the most beloved writers in contemporary Vietnamese literature.
Launch of the Hardcover Box Set “Nguyen Nhat Anh – From Books to Films”
A highlight of the program was the introduction of the hardcover box set “Nguyen Nhat Anh – From Books to Films,” a special edition created for readers who admire Nguyen Nhat Anh’s literary works and the film adaptations inspired by Vietnamese literature.
The box set includes four of the author’s most celebrated novels: Dreamy Eyes (Mat Biec), The Girl from Yesterday (Co Gai Den Tu Hom Qua), Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass (Toi Thay Hoa Vang Tren Co Xanh), and Once Upon a Love Story (Ngay Xua Co Mot Chuyen Tinh). These titles have sold hundreds of thousands of copies, captivated generations of readers, and have all been successfully adapted into feature films.
All four books are presented in hardcover editions featuring cover artwork inspired by their respective film adaptations. The box set comes in a sturdy and elegant collector’s case made from colored paper mounted on MDF board. It also includes exclusive collector’s gifts such as a premium canvas tote bag, bookmarks inserted in each book, and a printed shikishi board featuring Nguyen Nhat Anh.
Released in early June 2026, the box set is a special collaborative project between Tre Publishing House and FAHASA, commemorating the 45th anniversary of Tre Publishing House and the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City Book Distribution Corporation – FAHASA (1976–2026).
Through this special publication, readers have the opportunity to revisit the journey of beloved Vietnamese literary works from page to screen while owning a unique collector’s edition that celebrates the intersection of literature and cinema.
